Question to moderators. Why all of our moderators are emigrants living in America or students being on the long time stay in non-European countries ? I'm deeply convinced that only permanent residents of Slavic countries have full understanding of the current events. Don't we have a single East-European member suitable for moderator's position ? Or should I understand it's more or less exile Slavs forum ? PS. And don't tell me that vacations in Europe, watching European TV etc. is enough to keep in touch with"Slavic mainland". No, it's not.

I think we have four or five moderators here. Wouldn't it be better to have one of them permanently living in some Slavic country ? To be "objective" is sometimes not enough. I don't think the general knowledge of East-European Slavic countries is their (moderators) personal strength. At least their understanding of current local issues is very fragmentary. Maybe there are reasons for this kind of moderating team but .... OK let's wait for some answer.

Hello,
There is no specific reason why the moderators are all living abroad. I suppose it is generally because the forum is in English. We are always looking for new people however and it would be good to have someone who is living in Slavija. Although in terms of enforcing the rules, I don't believe there would be any difference as long as the person is objective and fair.
