Russian's a cool language. Alot of our Slavic languages are cool; I like Russian when people sound pissed, and Ukrainian to write love notes or something; its kind of a more soft, romantic language. I'm actually pretty interested in Belorusan, it seems alot like Ukrainian; the closest language I've ever seen to Ukrainian, actually..

I remember that russian speaking channels in the US have a lot of ukranian commercials, i can understand 99 percent of what they say even if i didn't learn ukranian at all, some words like ''shkira'' (its skin right ?) make me kind laugh ;D

What Russian speaking channels, btw? And what do you use to get them? I have a Ukrainian Channel, "1+1 International" using "rogers digital cable", but this odd message appeared on the screen a few days ago saying 1+1 was being cancelled in Rogers..... So I don't know what I'm going to do . Do any of those Russian channels play Russian football? I wonder if there's some type of package I can find..

I ve been learning russian language for one year and I think its not so easy task as I thought.I can understand texts but its very hard for me to construct my own sentences and phrases.I am admitting you(those who know several languages including russian) to tell me how many years I must learn to understand well russian and what should I do to learn it quick and easy. You know I am far away from the perfect english but it would be much more easier to write and post on our own slavic language which I personally think is a way better.

Lol, for me it's the other way around. ;D Must be a matter of which is your mother-tongue.
That's because Bulgarian doesn't have declensions. It doesn't hinder comprehension as severely as it does composition.

I have the same problem with learning other Slavic languages. Understand: yes, speak: often like retard. It's language learning in general, you always know more passively than actively. Doubled by the fact that Slavic languages are related and similar but we struggle with slightly different endings and meanings of words sometimes. But as they say, practise makes perfect.
