I am looking for some ideas/suggestions of what kind of content Slavija2.0 would deliver.
News Articles? Editorials? Books? Music?
What kind of content delivery should be used? Wiki-like? Hierarchal categories? Tags?
I wish to hear people's opinions.

Some ambitions ideas would be
1) Developing into a Slavic networking site (ala Facebook/Myspace)
2) Developing into Slavic community listing site (ala craigslist.org)

One improvement would be the installation for Train Wreck blocker and destroyer software. It will detect the moment any Train Wreck registers with Slavija launch a nuclear missile at their IP address.

for sure as i mentioned to Rovchanin it the other day it should have a radio station, even if is just streaming playlist of Slavic music only..... the facebook idea is good, a proper profile space with pictures and infomation would be better than just the welcome page we have here now..... would turn the slavija board into more of a community od slavic nationalists rather than a simple forum

No. Ideology conveyed through articles is pointless, at best it will reach a handful of morbid intellectuals (like you  ). To reach broader audiences it must be packaged in attractive "fantik" which sparkles and buzzes. ----------- I think pertinent question here is "why do people come to SNF?" My personal reasons are : 1) Sense of Community 2) In hope for a brilliant idea to emerge ----------- At this stage I'd rather people not think in terms of CONTENT, but rather in terms of DELIVERY. Shoutcast Radio is a good idea, btw, that's a delivery mechanism. |

I'd prefer a hierarchical structure with an easy navigation, just like most sites have. I'm not sure what you meant by tags and Wiki-style clicking consumes hours and would be article-based probably. Besides, I think a simple structure would be more user-friendly. I.e. introduce categories like Literature, Music, Culture, Art, Video, whatever is planned etc. Maybe?
Also, one thing I'd welcome would be a library. Basically we'd collect links to books online. I know there are special sites with Slovak and Serbian literature for example.

The 'avatar' picture in my profile is out of place in this forum and the moderators should not have listed it. It is not a Slavic symbol, but a work by the Romanian sculptor Brancusi, called 'Table of silence' and is regarded by Romanians as representative for their 'metaphysics' - whatever that is...
