I have done reading of all this replies. Uh, it was really a WORK. For all those who say that Czechs are not Slavs I have one mesage: F**k of and die. WHY?
Probbably no one of you would argue that Slovaks are not Slavs. Then why Czechs should be something else? Our languages are mutually understandable, our culture ( and of course also Polish one ), food and many other things are almoust the same. And that Czechs have huge influx of German blood? So what? I live in part of Slovakia wich used to be known in midleages as "Hauerland". A lot of Saxons lived here and they melted with Slovaks, therefore I myself have some German blood within me. Should I be now considered as non-Slavic?
In my point of wiev, Slavic is not a matter of boddy, it is matter of soul. Just remember the old ages. Slavs didnt used slaves. After some time of work for Slavic comunity( in cause of war damage ), the war prissoner could decide if he/she stay as equal or left back home. And all those who decided to stay married Slavs and thus enriched our genefond.
And a question for the end: Who of you Slavs can say that he/she is pure Slav?

The way I know it is the war prisoners were enslaved, but it wasn` indefinete. After a while they would get an amnesty.

"Anyway, there are many people who don't call themselves germans, but are still of german origin in Czech Republic - and when I say german origin, I mean with german surnames, which is proof enough."
Man, you dont know what you are talking about. Do you think that a person with German surname have to be of German origin?
There are a lot of persons with Magyar surnames in Slovakia. Do you think their ancestors were Magyars?
You probbably didnt hear abut Germanization and Magyarisation during Austro-Hungaria. Thus Sliaèsky became Selecsényi, Košický-Kassay, Zvolenský-Zolyómy and so on. The same goes for Czechs. Of course som Czechs have German ancestry, but name me one single Slavic nation that does not have foreign blood within.

But the prisoners taken by Slavs were left free after some time, when they worked out the war damage caused by them.

Ethnic identity is indeed first and foremost a cultural characteristic. People who do not have a culture, or better who do not understand and do not know their own culture and history (people of Coca- Cola and Hollywood culture), usually use "blood argument" since one does not have to know anything to use "blood argument". One can be an animal without culture and without history and have blood. However to be honest I do prefer approaches which are not "extremist" but somehow "in the middle". My point is both culture AND blood are important. Of course for ethnic identity culture is more important but I would rather not completely neglect blood. I know it is not very wise to use numbers in this matter but just to illustrate my point I would say 2/3 of one's identity are language, culture, first and last name, religion etc... but 1/3 is blood (I mean physical characteristics). However when one considers blood Slavs are indeed closely related, at least great majority of the Slavs (R1a haplotype although it is not closely associated to the ancient Slavs but rather to an very old culture - Kurgan). Thus Sorbs in Germany and genetically related to Poles and different than Germans. But in essence I agree with your standpoint.

Of course, genetics has something to do with us as a separate group within white race. A Slavic soul can be incarnated only into a Slavic body, that is for sure . Such soul can not be incarnated into some negro in Kongo. Now if you allow me, I will tell you a short story about my school mate from elementary school. His mother is Slovak and his father is from Vietnam. He was allways reserved with any demonstration of nationality ( you know, some enthusiasm during Slovakias hockey match and so on ). When I asked him why, he told me that he himself dont know whether hi is Slovak or Vietnameese or anything else and that he is really confused about identity. Six years ago he went with his familly to Vietnam for the first time. When he returned home, he was clear about his identity. He told me how it was strange. Everithing, food, landscape (+fauna and flora ), the people, his ovn relatives from there. Simply everithing. Now he consider himself Slovak, not chauvinist one, but simply pride to live in a country that is his cradle. I considered him Slovak even before, althogh he is little bit slighteied and bit darker than other Slovaks ( still much whiter than gypsies ;D ). Now you tell me, would you consider him Slav? Because nazis would never accept him as a Slav.

..He may not be ethnically a Slav but clearly, he was brought up in a Slavic nation, with at least half his family Slavs, and lives and breathes culturally as a Slav speaking the language and upholding Slav traditions yes? The Czech Rep/Slovakia has a small Vietnemese minority - I never heard they posed any problems to Czechs, Slovaks or Slavs in general so if they live there in peace they should stay there in peace, unlike Cikany hovno and blacks who can all be shipped back to which ever stones they crawled out from.
Personally, for the good of the Slav race as a whole I would discourage breeding outside indo Europe though.

Ironically I ask when will Czechs immigrate to Poland instead of England and the Netherlands? What's better about London,Manchester and Liverpool that Warszawa, Katowice and Łódź. Outside of devout Katowice(60% Mass attendance each sunday) the other two are the same religious baźin as the Republika Czeska. Why not, every thought about it?

You should ask your fellow Poles this question! There are many more Poles in the United Kingdom than Czechs and that is an undisputed fact, I should think that the Ratio must be someting like 40:1 (Poles:Czechs).

That is also true with the Germans. Take their name which is not theirs in origin but Slavic and has slavic derivatives. For example Germans do not identify with the nam German which they almost never use. They call themselves Deutch or Folks-deutch.
The term German is related to Slavs. The pagan slavic god of rain is called German. Even today Serbs call water wells Geram (pronounced Jeram slight differant in dialect from Jerman), we have had patriarchs call german and so forth.
Lets not forget that the largest part of East germany was Slavic untill the Goths assimilated them into Deutch such as the Prussians or if you like take away the prefix letter P and you get Russians which was term widely used with Slavs.
There are many towns, cities and regions which were once Slav named but have been changed to Deutch language such as a few mentioned here:
Belina - Berlin Branibor - Brandenberg Babin Breg - Banberg Brodica - Strasbourg Postupim - Potsdam Ribnica - Ribnitz Strihad - Stuttgart Kamenica - Chemnitz Namgrad - Numberg Kostice - Konstanz Strubina - Straubing Jibrovica - Uberlingen Ratibor - Ratzburg Roztoka - Rostock Sibnica - Sebnitz
All Austrian cities today with the former Slavic names:
Salickova - Salzburg Inomost - Innsbruck Vindabona - Vienna Celovec - Klagenfurt Gradachats - Graz
Whole regions surrounding the Maine were Serbian /Sorbian under the name: Regione Slavorum juxtu ripam flumine moin. Old Serbian names bare witness to Serbian presence and ownership, not to say the original settlers, before the Persian (Goth) invasion. Names such as were: Golohova, Inogova, Panchevo (Ïàíåüî), Durigin, Matalagi, Hlstkovo, Streva, Matakova, Milichan, Sulikova, Riyechin, Trgova, Bara, Bela Voda- Weibwassser, Rechich, Slapats (Šabac), Tsigoolin, Jastov. Rivers: Ititsa, Viraga – Ver, Vraga – Aurach Vila, Saltsa, Choobara, Rota, Velina, Loog, Buda, Vetrova, Looganova, Pazentsa, Ishanishka. Salitskova is now called Salzburg, Ratisbona, Radopana. In Thurungia a river carries the name Sarbecz, Serebes- Schrabitz; Serbiste- Ciervisti- Zerbiste; Serbst- Ziruuisti- Zerbst; Serbitse- Zörbig- Zurbici; Ludvigora and Slavitsa (Ñëàüèöà), Srbach, Lutogora – Ljutogora and Slavica (Ñëàüèöà), Slepo- Schleife, Baba Planina – Babae montes from which Babenberg – Bamberg had taken its name, river Utica – Utitsa, Trubeza, Sovacha, Byelak (bjeljak), Nartovo, Mootovo, Soltsa, Machiha, Prama, river Brama, Varnitsa, Bara, Celovec- Klagenfurt; Kostice- Kostanz ;Mordanova, Kalchooga, Vrnitsa, Brenta, Jakovo (Yakovo), Barigin, Breg, Dverigova, Jastevo (Yastvo), Rogovo. Altenburg - Starohrod , Bad Doberan - Doberan ,Beljina – Berlin, Bautzen - Budysin , Berg on Rügen - Góra , Brandenburg - Branibor ; Cvikov- Zwickau; Calau - Kalava , Cottbus - Chocebu¾ , Dargun - Dargun , Deberlug - Dobry³ug , Demmin - Dymin , Dresden - Drje¾d¼any , Elbe river - £objo , Erfurt - Jarobrod , Groitzsch - Grod¼i¹æo , Havel river - Hobola , Havelsberg - Hobolin , Jahna - Gana ( doesn't exist anymore ) , Kamenica- Kamer, Kamenica- Chemnitz; Köpenick - Kopjenik , Lebus – Lubuno - Ljubino , Lubjov- Lubbenau, Lubin- Lubben Leipzig - Lipsk – Lipa, Leitzkau - Leska , Lubeck – Lubice - Ljubica , Magdeburg - D¼ìwin ,; Mersenburg – Mjezjibor, Mišen- Meissen , Mulde river - Mod³a , Naumburg - Namgrad , Bocov- Oranienburg; Oder river – Vodra; Oldenburg –Starigrad; , Peene river - Piana , Platkow - B³oto ; Postupim- Potsdam; Prignitz - Przegnica Rethra – Radegosch ( doesn't exist anymore ), Ratzeburg – Ratibor; Režno/Ratisbona- Regensburg; Rochlitz – Rochelice, Rostock – Roztoka, Rugen island – Rugia, Saale river – Soyava, Schwerin – Svarits; Štrubina- Straubing; Štihrad –Stuttgart; Svinibrod- Schweinfurt;; Stolp – Sto³p, Tornow – Tornov, Usedom island – Uznoim, Werben – Vjerbno, Wismar – Vinomir, Vojereci- Hoyerswerda; Zwickau – Vikava, Zhorljec- Görlitz; Zverin- Schwerin; Jibrovice- Überlingen; Serbiste- Ciervisti- Zerbiste;

...HAHA, you have never been to England I must presume? There are so many Poles here I see more Poles than Pakis here now! I live near Poles, I have worked with Poles, I drink in the pub with Poles, I order my food from Poles - and yet I have yet to see a single Czech, that is, of course my own family.
There are Poles here with many occupations: Plumbers, Electricians, Doctors, Dentists, factory workers, waiters, waitresses etc etc, also many Polish drunks and criminals come here, in fact there has been such a problem with Poles commiting offences here the Police have had to pay for Polish translators at the Police station, normally for alcohol related crimes and acts of violence.
In my whole English town of 80,000 people I have never come across another Czech or Slovak that has come here to work.

It sounds similar because Old Prussians were Balts and as such were similar to Slavs, but that is it. Prussians are assimilated Balts, not Slavs. Unless you are talking about Brandemburg Germans.

Many Poles have returned to Poland from Western Europe in the last year. Anyways, 250-500 thousand Poles is around 0,5-1,5% of Poland's entire population. A great number of Poles in the UK are seasonal workers who return after 3 months of work there. It is not 1800 the borders are free and transportation is relatively cheap compared to what it was in the past.
Truly, we are not a small nation like former Austro-Hungarian states. Immigration is a standard part of Polish life. Does it really matter where you eat your meals or sleep if in your heart you have God and Poland? I hope I offend you delusional Nietzschians... A belief in the highness of German philosophy is a sickness which is endemic to Central-East Europe especially in former Austrian lands. Anyways, man it is good to remember where your roots are.. My family is half-Austrian, half Russian, which means I am 100% Polish. If you try to make judgments about Polska please learn our history before you call us whatever you call us. Amiń
