Post your pictures and videos about women in the military in this thread and also let us know what you think about the topic.....do you agree with having women soldiers or not.....and why?
---------------
Personally, I'm for women being allowed to serve in the military, but I'm against them serving in the more physically demanding and "in your face" type units, like Infantry, Artillery, Special Forces and similar.
But I don't see why they couldn't perform rear services, or combat duties such as snipers (proven in WWII), pilots, intelligence and so on.
The main reason why I don't agree with them serving in infantry and similar units is that generally women are physically weaker. And I don't mean comparing them to 2 metre tall musclebound giants, but their physiology in general. It's well known that females have a weaker and more fragile skeleton for example.
Another reason is that unit cohesion is usually affected.
A female member of a mostly male team / unit will cause more problems than contribute to the unit. Males (especially young males) would naturally want to compete for her attention causing friction in the unit.
She would also affect their judgement in combat situations. For example, if she were to be wounded and left exposed, most males would be naturally prone to try everything to protect her and expose themselves without thinking trying to get to her.....
Here's a program about female soldiers in the Serbian Army (it's in serbian)
