Finno-ugric is pre-dominantly a linguistic grouping. I don't think it was proven that they are genetically related.

Approx. 3000 BC finno-ugors lived somewhere between Ural mountains and rivers: Volga & Kama. 2000-1500 BC ugors were moving to South. One of their groups - magyars - separated and moved more to the South where they mixed with bulgars & turks (600 BC). This group became more turk than ugric. The word "Hungary" came from turk-bulgar "onogur" (or "honogur", I don't know how to spell it correctly in latin alphabet). "Onogur" means "10 tribes" (7 hungarian & 3 khazar).

even if they are slavs in some percent the last thing on this world is to see hungarian saying "i m belong to slav people"
1. for me, there are some similarities between croats and hungarians (big influence of media)
2. i still dont believe they are slavs more then any other known slavic states. (culture, language, look, behaviour etc etc)

Hungarians are most certainly not Slavs, thier only close relative, Linguistically and DNA wise are the Finns. Hungarians do not consider themselves Slavic or friends of Slavs. Its the most unfortunate thing in the history of Slovaks that the Hungarians ruled them, they were brutal dogs towards the Slovaks. The Czechs had it much easier under the Austrians compared to the occupation of Slovaks by the Hungarians.
Eventhough the Hungarians absorbed alot of Slav blood and culture they see themselves as some great Germanic tribe. They are irrelevant to any Slav.

I don't know why some people even bother discussing this kind of thing. All this revisionist BS. We know who are Slav, and who is not. Hungarians are certainly not. If anything, they are our enemies.

Polak, Wêgier, dwa bratanki, i do szabli, i do szklanki
Lengyel, magyar két jóbarát, együtt harcol s issza borát
(Pole, Hungarian, two good friends, they fight and drink their wine together)
On March 12, 2007, Hungary's parliament declared March 23 as the Day of Hungarian-Polish Friendship, with 324 votes in favour, no vote against and no abstention.
On March 16, 2007, Polish parliament declared March 23 as the Day of Polish-Hungarian Friendship

I think the Poles should concentrate on friendship with countries that actually border them, like their fellow Czech and Slovak western Slavic brothers.
Pastir, that guy should be classed as an honourary friend of Slavs.

Is it Hungary slavic country or not?Are hungarians brainwashed people who were beeing under magyar slavery so long that they forgot their origins? What do you think? The modern Hungarians are dominantly Finno-Ugric people, who speak a language, closely related to the Finnish. Of course they have slavic and even germanic genes. There are no pure nations in this world.

If anything, they are our enemies. Why? What have done the poor hungarians to you? Probably they plan to launch missiles toward Russia? Let the hungarians alone. They are humans and they suffered a lot.
